Another Colorway Of The adidas Anthony Edwards 2 Emerges

Every great debut signature sneaker presents a seemingly impossible task; creating a follow-up that can keep the momentum going. After earning SOTY praise for his first adidas Basketball model in 2024, Anthony Edwards is hoping to author another success story in the adidas Anthony Edwards 2. The model was unveiled in an adidas earnings call in March, meaning we’re now in the leaked colorway phase ahead of the sneaker’s late 2025 debut. A new video by @dretheshoegod shows a “Black/Purple/Pink” colorway as well as some never-before seen angles.

Compered to the Anthony Edwards 1, the new signature offers a lot more space to get creative when it comes to color. The Anthony Edwards 2 features a ribbed, ballistic quarter area, ventilated TPU over the forefoot, and an outsole that bleeds up onto the upper, offering a bit more material variety than its honeycombed predecessor. Leaked images of this “Black/Purple/Pink” colorway show two never-before-seen areas of the sneaker; the heel and medial side. The former features TPU material made to look like an X cross, while the latter features, sharp, curved lines that frame the quarter portion. As you’d expect at this early stage, performance specs have yet to be announced.

The adidas Anthony Edwards 2 “Black/Purple/Pink” doesn’t have a release date, but the next Anthony Edwards shoe is slated to arrive toward the end of 2025. Based on our own information regarding adidas FW25 releases, expect the orange Anthony Edwards 2 that leaked back in March to hit shelves this October.
